May 8th was National Train Day so Little Man, Gigi, Boots and myself headed down the the train station to see one of the only working steam engines in the country. It's called the Daylight Express and was built in 1941.
Now the thing about steam engines is that they need to "let off" steam and this can sometimes take the form of a very loud and unexpected whistle. Little Man did not like this whistle.

Safe and sound with Gigi in the train station restaurant. Though it should be noted that they sat us right in the front of a large bay window that looked out on the steam engine which was about 15 yards away (see photo below this one). But at this point Little Man was too busy eating his hotdog and watching sesame street on GiGi's phone.
Time to swap the train conductor's hat for the birthday hat. Little Man is guarding his cup cakes from the hungry clutches of Boots.
