The Rose Festival

Not always the best weather for the kick off of the Rose Festival but man, it was beautiful this year! We thought we would pack up the kids to go see all the ships that come into port during 'Fleet Week'. We got down there and the lines were humongous so we checked them out from afar.

They also had a great area for kiddie rides and much to our chagrin, Little Man wanted to ride!
And ride he did. Some were a hit, some not so much.

My parents dropped in for a visit on their way to Alaska for a cruise, it's their anniversary present to themselves. Well deserved, in my opinion :) The weather behaved pretty much while they were here. Of course there was some rain but we did manage to go to the PSU Farmer's Market, The Japanese Gardens, and they babysat one night so that we could celebrate Sean's belated birthday! As always, I was sad to see them go. But worry not, we are headed to the lake house for a week over July 4th!!!!! Oh you wish there were pictures from their visit? Our camera was NOT charged so I have to make sure I get pictures from their camera.

Portland enjoyed a few days of sun here and there, so to take advantage of it we headed to the Beaverton Farmer's Market for lunch and the water fountain. Little Man and Little Miss had a chance to play around with his BFF's Ava and Katie.
