She is coming along quite nicely I must say.

And now we are caught up!!!

Here are the kiddos at Halloween 2013.  Little man is the Dark Knight and Little miss is a fairy princess. She was going to be Spider-Man fairy princess but my guess is that someone convinced her there was room for only 1 Super Hero in the house. 

We also got to dress up for the holiday.  Our neighbors have a costume party ever year and this year Sean was determined to not be scary/gory.  This was his idea (and I whole heartedly agreed!)

Rhododendron Park Portland, OR

Sean and I both had lived near the Rhododendron garden by Reed College.  Neither of us had ever ventured in and that was a mistake on our end.   They say the best time is around Mother's Day so we have already marked our calendars.  Warning, Little Man was not feeling the love with the camera so lots of back of the hear shots for him.

Oh how we cherish our time at Walloon.  Grandparents, cousins, parades, smores, firepits, tubing, jumping off the dock, sand castles, I could go on and on.

Her First Dance Recital

We weren't sure how it was going to go.  Will she freeze, will she do whatever she feels like, will she follow instructions?  We are proud to announce that she did what she was supposed to do, and as we all know, can be monumental for a spirited three year old.   The participants all received medals afterwards and she displays her in her bedroom.  So proud!

BINGO!

Family BINGO night, put on by the PTO, was a hit!!!  They let kids call the numbers and Little Miss got her shot at the microphone.  She was cracking us up!!  No hesitation AT ALL.  She loved it.  The woman up there with me has an agent for her two kids, I guess they were in the Twilight movies.  She said, "If you don't have an agent for this kid I will give you our agent's number.  Heck, I would rep this kid!"  

I will be just fine with her successes on the small stage, like the elementary school talent show, dance recital,  or high school musical.  

VBS (Vacation Bible School)

So the kiddo has successfully completed a year of school.  I have managed to drop him off at 8:50 every day and pick him up at 3:00 every day.  No problems.

VBS started today.  It's one week = 5 days.  Starts at 9:00 and pick up is 12:30.

Can someone please tell me why I am feeling anxious and if left to my own devices, I could cry.   No, he did not look excited about it BUT we had talked about it before and his buddies were going.  He did not protest or try to get me to stay or try to come home with me.  He even knows kids in his group!

So tell me, why the anxious feelings??

He said it was fun while he was doing it but no real interest in doing it again.   On to soccer in the fall.

Henny Penny

Little Man's class put on a play for the parents.  He got the part of Foxy Loxy, if you know the story, Foxy is a not so nice fox.  The kid rocked it!  Ad libbed at the end and got the laugh he was probably hoping for.
