Last weekend was a whirlwind, and that is putting it lightly. TH night Shrams came in, late from a delayed flight. Friday Sean and I were up pre-crack of dawn to get Liam and Shrams ready for their weekend together and us to the airport on time. We stopped in Detroit, met up with Sean's parents, flew into Rochester, NY, got the rental car and off to Syracuse. There we met up with my parents and out to get dinner. We were told it was a half hour wait.....2 HOURS later we got our food! Saturday hop in the car and off to Ithaca, NY. Sean was nice enough to take us around campus for some sights...

When all was signed, sealed and delivered from Cornell we loaded up and drove back to Syracuse for an awesome dinner at a French restaurant, at a reasonable hour! The next day we were back on a plane headed to Portland and to our little boy.

Liam had an amazing time with Shrams, it doesn't sound like he gave her too hard of a time and if he did she ain't fessing up! I did notice some new bath toys in the his tub....hmmmm, someone isn't spoiled!

Another Year

Another year has come and gone for my dear, sweet, loving husband. Happy Birthday Sweetheart! It was actually yesterday so we got ourselves a babysitter and went to a favorite Indian restaurant, not kid friendly what-so-ever. Wow, to be out and about, just the two of us, on a date none the less. We were home early though seeing we had jobs to go to the next day. boo hiss

Now our time is all about having everything ready for Sean's Aunt, Shrams to watch the bug, us to get packed and off to Cornell and me to not freak out in the process. If we can manage that then I will consider it a success!

Nothing Better

Nothing better than this past weekend. We had Sean's parents in town to help celebrate Master Liam's very first birthday and to have it fall on Mother's Day was perfect!

We had a party with the cake that Sean made...

then came the photo opportunities before the actual cake eating...

and next, the eating of the cake and the boy's first frosting...

after a very quick bath it was on the gift portion of the afternoon..

and what is this? A car for his birthday? But he's only 1!!!

All in all I think I had the best day ever. Happy Birthday my precious little boy. I Love You!

Busy Weekend Ahead

We have the Taylors coming into town to mark the bug's first birthday!!! We also get to celebrate my second Mother's Day, Liam was 2 days old for the first. Probably won't be able to post this weekend but promise to share pictures after the party. Until then,

God said, 'Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak.'
'And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?'
God said, 'Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray.'

'Who will protect me?'
God said, 'Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life.'

'But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore.'
God said, 'Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you.'

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, 'God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name.'
God said, 'You will simply call her, 'Mom.' "
