Lazy Days of Summer

So are my hormones out of wack or is it normal that watching your baby suck his thumb for the first time can make you cry? At first I wasn't sure what I saw but then he pulled it out, wiggled around a bit to get more comfortable in my arms and stuck it right back in and cue the waterworks and trying to not wake him up at the same time. Imagine the smile on my face to know that I was holding the smartest, most advanced child in the world! Alert the presses! Baby Liam Taylor is genius at 11 weeks old. :)

A Visitor

Sean has been in Boston for work and then he went on to New York for school. He will be gone for 12 days total....about 11 1/2 days too many! Fortunate for Liam and me, Grams (Taylor) has been with us. Linda has swooped in to save the day, not to mention my sanity, I could not have survived this without her. The picture proves she has the touch with Baby Liam. Emmett goes to the vet tomorrow for a 2 week check up. He now has 5 sections of duct tape on the cone, I think he is working on a world record. --A

Emmett's Surgery

Well Emmett made it through his eye surgery successfully. People thought we were crazy for replacing his brown eyes for blue eyes but I think it is hard to argue with the results. Just look at him now! I think his canine allure factor is really off the charts. Now he has to wear a cone around his head for two weeks so he doesn't damage the surgeon's work. Next year tail implants!
PS - the cataract surgery was a success. Two days home and he already cracked his cone, now he is a redneck with the duct tape. Cone comes off July 25th then the paint to retouch the walls comes out. -- S

Bragging

Not to brag, but we will.....Liam has found his hand!! He is the master of sucking his fist. He can even hold up his head for seconds at a time through out the day.

My First 4th of July

Liam's first 4th has come and gone. We went to a friend's house for a BBQ and we actually took a picture but was not a good angle and then we forgot about the camera. We had fun though.
